A day in the life of me...

And it's only noon!!! I tell ya. Well, first we had a time getting DD to go back to school after the long weekend. She cried and cried. Then we had a Bible Study at a nursing home. Our minister asked me to fill in for him as the leader. But he said, "We're on Hebrews 3". I like a little more guidance than that. But I went to the trusty internet and got help. Or so I thought.

I read the scripture and then went over the commentary with them. (btw there nearly 20 ladies there). That took all of 15 minutes!!! It was supposed to be 45 minutes to an hour!! UGHHH!!! So you know me (well, not really I guess but...) I told them if they were kids I'd ask them to sing with me, soooo what would they like to sing?? We sang some favorite hymns for about 20 more minutes and then they thanked me for coming. hehe Man, I felt like I did terrible and was really embarrassed but, I survived.

Then when we got home we noticed a LARGE crowd of vultures just behind our property line. There is a dead animal out there!!! I called Animal control and they told me that it's the responsibility of the property owner to dispose of it. Well, it's undeveloped land and I don't know who it belongs to. So my neighbor called 911 and they said there is no one in the city or county who will come out and dispose of it.

Okay, I may be a little paranoid but I just don't think that it's sanitary for me to dispose of it and I wouldn't even know where to take it!!! What if it was diseased? And now it's had birds eating on it! So... I have a couple of calls in to a few friends who will hopefully help me figure out what to do.

All this before noon! That's my life.

~~~Update 8:00pm.
Well, I called a friend from church and told her about my dilemma and she had it taken care of in a matter of almost minutes! The deer was gone within and hour of talking to her. She is awesome!! Well, so are her husband and friend. They actually came to take care of it for me. Thank goodness for church friends!
  1. Yea! I'm so glad that got taken care of. And don't worry about the Bible study, I'll bet they loved singing. Especially the old hymns.
