Good Morning

Well, it's Friday. I love Friday's. It's the start of the weekend. Today we have several things we really need to get done. I've got to get the kids registered for Gym and Swim. They gave very short notice on when registration was and we were headed out of town so we missed it.

I need to finish putting a few things away still from Christmas. My back is feeling much better so I have no excuses now.

Then we just need to do some laundry and some cleaning. I ALWAYS have cleaning to do. If only I would stay on top of it then it would be so much easier. Someday maybe I'll learn that trick and actually put it in to play.

Change of subject.... Marriage is hard work. I love it but it's hard work and it takes lots of compromise and understanding. Now, imagine it long distance with a war in the middle!! And the long distance lasting for 15 months. UGH! Talk about hard!

We had a few words yesterday and didn't hang up in our usual loving way. That's the pits!! I immediately started sending my "I love you" emails and my "I'm sorry" emails. At least I could do that. Pour DH had to go to a 2 hour meeting and couldn't do anything. He did eventually call back and we were both I'm sorrying and I love youing.

This morning I got the sweetest email ever. DH isn't always eloquent but when he is, it just melts my hearts. He is one of the sweetest people I know (when he wants to be!).

Ok, enough of the sappy stuff. I best get off here so that I can go get busy with my to do list. Have a glorious day!

Another day...

It's seemed like such a lazy day today. I just wanted to sit and do nothing. I was even in my PJs by 4pm!! I'm very tired. I've not slept much the last few days. I know that I will sleep well tonight!

We are watching Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. I love the Harry Potter movies and books. When I finished the books I felt like I had lost a very dear friend. I missed him and all the characters so very much. I still find my self thinking of them often.

The kids and I cleaned house a bit today. It needed it!! I love a clean house and yet I have such a hard time keeping it that way. I need to make the kids help more on a daily basis but I'm not very good at that either.

Well, I'm about ready for bed so I'll close for now. Good night dear friends.

Today

I just sprayed the house with some linen spray I made and it smells so very good. I sprayed it on my sheets on the bed and on all the furniture in the living room and on the drapes and just anywhere I can. It smells Divine. I'm limited on what I can do with my finger but I can make the house smell good!!

The kiddos just came in from outside. It's raining now. We are expecting storms. I hope they are nice gentle storms.

DH is still feeling sickly. Poor guy! Did I mention that everyone on the trip came back with food poisoning? Yep they did.

Well, I need to try to do a little more to the house. Hopefully, my finger will allow me to do a little more anyway.

Whew!

Well, the kids and I are going on a little road trip this weekend and so I'm trying to get the house cleaned up for DH. I've worked and worked in the kitchen. I've even decluttered a little in there and reorganized. I've got a new place for my bills that is much neater. I've homes for some the things that shouldn't always be on the counters. Whew! I've just been going crazy in there!! I still have more to do, I'm just taking a short break. I'm tired.

I have lots to do all around the house. the kids have the living about done and ready to be vacuumed. I have lots to of laundry to fold but I can get to that. The kitchen is the main thing. I also want to clean up the office area and the bathrooms. I'm getting even more tired just thinking about it all!

Today...

Good morning dear cyber friends,

I have lots to get to today so this will be quick. I have a kitchen to clean back up, sheets to change, quilts to mend, teaching to do, dinner to prepare, and letters to write.

Our church had a chili cook off last night so DH worked on his chili until time to head out and then when we got home we were all so tired we just went to bed, so I have the mess to clean up now. It's not really too bad, but it has to be done.

My sheets are in the washer so I've started there.

I have several quilts that need mending. We are evidently very hard on our quilts. Either that or our quilts are cheaply made. Could be either one. One of them is probably at least 10 years old and the other is only about 4 years old. They were both probably bought at Wal-mart so they probably are cheaply made. Anyway, I have mending to do.

The kids are both working on their math on their own right now and dinner is planned I just need to throw it in the crockpot. The letters I'll try to get to as soon as I finish here. So, hopefully I'll be able to get it all done. Well, the quilts will take time but I want to get them started.

Today

This morning after breakfast I get to take DH to the dentist for some dental work. I don't know how long we will be. After that he is off for the day and tomorrow too. I'm hoping he gets some much needed rest.

The kids will work on their school work and then read until Mom is available again.

We've been doing a pretty good job of keeping up with the house. I still need to do the floors but other than that we are pretty tidy for now. That is such a relief. Getting up in the mornings is so much easier knowing that the house is basically clean. Yea!

Well, I need to get busy with breakfast.

Still been busy...

That's a good thing though. At least I'm not being lazy!

The kids and I went through a lot of their art yesterday and picked some of their favorites to do something special with. We even placed a couple of them for sale in our online store. They thought that was neat. You can look at them here.

Today, I have a got to vacuum our house and sweep the floors! I'm terrible about doing the floors. I mean terrible!!! I hate to do the floors but I really shouldn't. No excuse really.

I think I'm finally caught up on our laundry. I still have a load or two to do but that's a daily thing for us.

We've been staying on top of the kitchen pretty well. I do have a few books to put up that I got to list to sale but that's it.

I plan on having a slow day today. Just straightening up the house and schooling the kids.

Busy

I've been a busy little bee. I'm trying to get myself in order. Priorities need to get straight again. Mine seem to get out of wack every now and then.

Anyway, I've got my home back under control. Now if I can just keep it that way for a little while, or a long while!!


I always seem to lose control when DH is home a little extra. I just don't seem to clean, do laundry, whatever, when he is around. I can't explain it, but it true. Weird huh. This is his first full week at work since the new year. They have had lots of holidays and adonsas (not sure of spelling) so they have been off a lot! Lots of 3 and 4 day weekends. Don't get me wrong, I've loved them all. It's been wonderful to have him home I just wish I could my act together when he is.

Anyway, that's what I've been doing. I've been trying out some new recipes too. They have been pretty good too.

Tonight we are having Cheesy Chicken in the crock pot. I'm trying to use it more. It's so easy and really it can be fairly inexpensive as well. I'm even thinking of getting a second one. I was inspired by Homemakerang. She recently posted about using hers, she has 3, and I decided to pull mine back out. I use mine sporadically. But for now we are enjoying it.

On my TO DO today:

1. stretch (done!)

2. put dinner in crock-pot

3. shower

4. volunteer at church

5. library

6. laundry

7. mend DD's pants
