Whew! We had a BUSY weekend. We made a quick trip back to our last duty station. DH is there TDY (temporary assignment) and we wanted to go and spend a week there, but since DS is in the play "Footloose" here and has rehearsals Monday through Friday, we were not able to leave until Saturday morning. DD had a friend who was having a birthday party Saturday afternoon. It's a 9 hour drive so we left at 5am and made it to the party only 30 minutes late. We were able to see a few friends while we were there and that was such fun. We went back to our church there and were greeted by many friends. It was wonderful. We left Monday morning to be back for DS rehearsal at 6pm. It was a whirl wind trip but it was fun.
I was so tried yesterday from it all but dang it if my body didn't wake up at 6:45am! Man, I was hoping to sleep late but oh well. We had a good day. I did some menu planning for the rest of the week and went to the commissary and the kids did their schoolwork and had a visit to the dentist.
Today, I have bread rising on the stove and am looking forward to eating it!! It looks so good!! I'm using a new recipe I found in my newest cookbook "The Williams-Sonoma Cookbook". I love this cookbook! We are having such fun trying the recipes and have found many that we have added to our favorite meals list.
It's a beautiful cookbook. I don't usually buy expensive cookbooks but this one has been so very worth it. It has a picture with ever recipe which I love. My kids love looking through it and making requests.
Now, I have laundry going. Need to get it all caught up before DH gets home and I have to do his. So, with that, I better get to back to it! Have a glorious day, dear friends.
Footloose...is he dancing? I can't wait until I can say "I knew him when he was a kiddo just starting out!"
ReplyDeleteYes, he is dancing and he is actually a "preferred" dancer! HAHAHA He is pretty excited about it.
