Oh my, the kids and I a great day yesterday. We had to take DH to the airport... not the great part... and since we were in town we decided to hang out a bit. That bit turned into most of the day. We just hung out and went window shopping. We bought a couple of Christmas gifts too. We hung out at Barnes and Noble for over an hour (does that count as school? :o) and we walked all over the shopping area. We spent a good time in Dillards too. DD and I tried on a ton of hats and DS even tried on a few men's hats but didn't like any of them. We finished it off with a late lunch at an old fashioned diner.
We haven't really done this in a while. We've been too busy so this was really nice. It's one of the perks of homeschooling. To get to go hang out on a school day when everyone else is busy so we miss the crowds. It felt wonderful and I think it was a day this momma really needed.
