SOOOOO EXCITING!!!

Yes, I know, I 'm crazy but I made tomato sauce from my own homegrown tomatoes today!! I' very excited. I have two jars now nicely in my freezer for later use! I hope do lots more.

I had hoped to can the tomatoes but I never have enough ripe at one time to make it worth my while. So this way was quick and easy. VERY EXCITING!!

Rewarding...

Well, I'm in the process of drying, dehydrating a bunch of produce from my garden. How rewarding it will be when it's done! I've tomatoes, okra, banana peppers, a jalapeno, and zucchini. I can't wait to see the finished results!

Well, not a lot going on here lately. DH is TDY, DS is still enjoying his archery lessons and he is really good. DD is dying for ballet to start back up and I'm busy in my garden.

I have lots to do but don't seem to get much of anything done lately. We've just been hanging out.

What about you?

Going to the Movies

We went to see the new Harry Potter movie yesterday afternoon, and I loved it!!

BUT! I can't believe how expensive it is to go and then to be subjected to 30 minutes of commercials beforehand!! Yes, there were 30 minutes of commercials (yes, like what you see on TV) and previews. But most of that 30 minutes were just the TV commercials.

I can't understand then why it is that it costs so very much to get in!! I mean the commercials are paid for so in all actuality our ticket prices should be going DOWN not up! I couldn't believe it.

Obviously it's been a while since we've been to the theater but our show was supposed to start at 3:30 and it didn't not even start to show the opening credits until after 4:00. UNREAL!! I pay to go to see the movie not a commercial for ALL detergent or Diet Coke. I can see that at home.

Garden

It's doing so good. I have a few issues with bugs but we are working on them.

We have had some nice grape tomatoes for our salads and lots of hot banana peppers too. We've had squash and zucchini too that were soooo yummy!!

We've got lots of tomatoes, Roma, goliath and others that we are just waiting on to ripen. We have jalapenos and okra, we are trying with some bell peppers, I even have a pumpkin! My lemon tree is finally taking off and it looks great! My strawberry's are getting bigger but no fruit yet.

I love my garden and am having such a good time with it.
