A different kind of Scrapbooking? Maybe...

Cath Kidston Recipe OrganizerSeveral years ago... ok, more than several years ago... I started a notebook that I filled with recipes.  Recipes I found on the internet, recipes friends sent me and even those recipe cards you get in the mail.  Some of the recipes I've used more than others and some I haven't even tried yet!

Today, I spent a lot of time looking through that notebook.  It was so fun!  It was kind of like a scrapbook for me.  You could see how old the kids were as they helped me in the kitchen and checked off what they put in bowl!  Hahaha  That really made me laugh because you could see where I told them that I would finish!  Then you could see where I left the notebook open on the counter because DH used it for a notepad!  You could see when I was on a baking kick or a veggie kick or a casserole or crockpot kick!

I've had such fun today going this notebook.  I've already picked out several recipes I will be making in the next few days.  I can't wait!!

Do you have a recipe notebook?

  1. We should get together and scrapbook... our pictures and our recipes!!! I have a HUGE mess of both! Full of fund memories though. Glad you are finding yourself again my friend!

  2. I have one of those notebooks! I love looking through it and seeing the notes I wrote about different recipes. It's definitely my kind of scrapbooking!

  3. Lana, mine too!!

Carla, at our last church we had WW in the evening... it included a dinner and then everyone split off to go to their activities, kids to their lessons and choir, youth had a Wednesday program, handbells, Bible studies and we had a scrapbooking group for a while! I loved it! It was a lot of fun. We all just brought up our photos and paper and there was a Creative Memories person who brought all her die cuts and scissors. She would sell stuff too if we wanted or needed something but we just brought what we had. It was a lot of fun.
