I read a devotional with this title this morning, and it made me think of several of my friends who have talked about this very thing. I don't really think any of these friends read here but maybe someone else out there needs it too. You can click on the title to go to it. Sometimes I have to click refresh a time or two so give it a chance.
Anyway, even in our Sunday School this past month I've talked about this with the kids. We get so busy in our lives with this and that that sometimes it's hard to stop and take a moment for God. It is important.
I've had several friends over the past year make comments to me about how busy they, as a family, are and how very tired it makes them. If it makes the parents this tired, imagine how tired the kids are!
More is not always best. I tell people this a lot. We had got rather busy there for awhile until one day, I just put my foot down and no more. Family time is more important this all this junk. And you know what? We are happier as a family.
Sometimes we get too tied up in extracurricular activities, they are extra. That's it. If you have time for it great! If not, don't stretch yourself or your family. It's just not worth it.

Well, we have been busy lately. Last was Vacation Bible School and everyone helped with it. That was fun. I love that DH helped this year. It was wonderful to see him setting an example for not just our kids but also for the others too. We all had a good time but it took up our family time which was hard on us.
This week DS has been on a Mission Trip. This evening we are going to their closing worship and then he'll be back home late tonight. I've not heard from him so I guess it is going well. I'm sure he is having a good time helping others and fellowshipping with others at the same time.
DD has been relishing in being an only child for the week. She has been missing her big brother of course but she likes having me and her dad to herself.
Our garden is coming right along. We have some beautiful plants! I love it.
Well, I guess you are now updated. I hope is well with all of you out there dear cyber friends.

More garden...
I love my garden! I love to be out looking at it and discovering even the tiniest changes. I can't think of anything more fun. I'm not sure that my little family enjoys it as much as I do but that's okay.
I have a quite a few grape tomatoes and and several Roma, Goliath and I can't remember the other kind but I have a few of them too. I have a snap pea and several more getting ready to appear. I have a few hot banana peppers and maybe even a few jalapenos. The cucumbers are starting to vine as are the pumpkins. The strawberries are running all over but we've only had 2 little ones so far.
I am having a wonderful time with it. I can't wait to feed my family our wonderful home grown salad, or some home grown stir fry or even some homemade tomato sauce.
I LOVE IT!!
