Another day...

It's seemed like such a lazy day today. I just wanted to sit and do nothing. I was even in my PJs by 4pm!! I'm very tired. I've not slept much the last few days. I know that I will sleep well tonight!

We are watching Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. I love the Harry Potter movies and books. When I finished the books I felt like I had lost a very dear friend. I missed him and all the characters so very much. I still find my self thinking of them often.

The kids and I cleaned house a bit today. It needed it!! I love a clean house and yet I have such a hard time keeping it that way. I need to make the kids help more on a daily basis but I'm not very good at that either.

Well, I'm about ready for bed so I'll close for now. Good night dear friends.

Boy was it...

Oh yes, it was a VERY long night. The rain didn't even come until after midnight! Then by two everyone was with me. The dog was freaking out but the kids were calm as long as they were downstairs with me.

Then the power went out and the dog freaked out even worse. By then the storm was really past us it was just rain and distant thunder but the dog was crazy. An hour later when it came back the dog was down right INSANE! He ran around the house non stop for at least an hour. I was too tired to mess with him so I dozed until I couldn't hear him running anymore and I put him back on the bed with me. We finally slept but we only had an hour or two until it was time to get up.

My dearest friend Kate read my post from yesterday and has already sent me a weather radio!! How awesome is she? Kate you are the BEST!!! DH laughed when I told him and said "GOOD!" You are so sweet.

Now, I'm tired and heading off to bed. Good night.

Storms??

Well, we are next in line for these terrible storms that are crossing the nation. I promised the kids I would stay up until the danger of tornadoes is over. Yes, it's looks to be a LONG night.

They both hate storms. Not that anyone really likes them but they are both frightened by them. If they could they would live full time in the basement. I don't blame them really. I don't much like them either and even if I hadn't promised them I'd still be awake for myself. I should really get a weather radio.

We have been very relaxed lately in our school work. They have been getting their math done always and they read a LOT. We've slid some science and history in here and there but we've been crafting and working on the basement a lot. I honestly feel like this is school too but it feels very relaxed. I like it. It feels really good.

DH is doing well. We hear from him regularly and often. We are so very fortunate in that matter. The kids are really doing well with all this. They miss him but they are staying busy and both run for the phone whenever it rings wanting to know who it is and if it's him can they talk. DH has been really busy and is very tired.

Well, I guess that's about it from here. I'll be sitting here waiting on the storms to pass. Have a good night!
